Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of this website and to the dog walking and training services provided by High Paw Walks ("High Paw Walks," "we," "us"). By booking an assessment or a service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Our services

  • Individual Dog Walks: one-on-one walks. We do not offer group walks.
  • Positive Basic Training: basic training using positive reinforcement and a relationship-based approach. Training goals are agreed with you during the assessment.

We serve Irvine, Santa Ana, and Orange, California.

Assessment first

Every new client starts with an assessment so Angelica can meet you and your dog and agree on the right service. We may decline or end a service if it is not a good fit or is not safe for your dog, other people, other animals, or us.

Booking, cancellation, and rescheduling policy

  • Assessments are booked through the booking section on this website.
  • You will receive a confirmation email, which includes options to cancel or reschedule your assessment.
  • Services are booked and paid after you and Angelica agree on the service. Prices are confirmed with you before you pay.
  • Cancellation notice for services: to be confirmed
  • Late cancellations and no-shows: to be confirmed
  • Refunds: to be confirmed
  • Weather and safety: we may shorten, reschedule, or cancel a walk because of extreme heat, poor air quality, storms, or other unsafe conditions. Your dog's safety comes first.

Payments

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. By paying, you also agree to the processor's terms. We do not store full card numbers.

Your responsibilities as the owner

  • Tell us honestly about your dog's health, behavior, and history, including any bite history, aggression, fear, reactivity, or escape behavior, and update us if anything changes.
  • Keep your dog licensed and vaccinated against rabies as required by California law and your city, and share other vaccination records we reasonably request.
  • Provide a leash and a collar or harness in good condition, with identification tags. Angelica works with the leash your family uses and may recommend changes.
  • Provide safe access to your dog at the scheduled time and accurate emergency contact details.

Emergencies and veterinary care

If your dog is injured or becomes ill while in our care, we will try to contact you and your emergency contact right away. If we cannot reach you and your dog needs urgent care, you authorize us to take your dog to your veterinarian or the nearest available emergency veterinary clinic. You are responsible for the cost of that care.

Training results

Every dog learns at its own pace. Results depend on many factors, including practice at home, so we do not guarantee specific training outcomes.

Risks and limitation of liability

Walking and training dogs involve some risks that cannot be fully removed, such as interactions with other animals, people, traffic, and the environment. We care for every dog with attention and reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, High Paw Walks is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You agree to be responsible for damage or injury caused by your dog's behavior that you did not tell us about before the service.

Photos and social media

We may share photos of your dog with you. We only post them publicly, for example on Instagram, with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time.

Communications

By booking, you agree that we may contact you by email about your booking and services. If you message us on WhatsApp, we may reply there. We do not send marketing text messages or marketing emails without your consent.

Website use

The content, logo, and photos on this site belong to High Paw Walks or are used with permission. Please do not copy or use them without our written permission. Availability shown on the site may change until your booking is confirmed.

Accessibility

We want this website to be usable by everyone. If you have trouble using any part of it, contact us and we will help you book or get the information you need.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a disagreement comes up, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any claim that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state courts located in Orange County, California, including small claims court where eligible.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Changes do not affect services already booked unless you agree.
